Fran Emmons
Fran is the wife of Pastor Emmons. They were married on a Friday
evening, June 24, 1966. God gave them two sons (Daniel and David)
and blessed them further with two daughters-in-law (Anna and Makenzie).
Their two grandsons, Chi and Luke, are a constant delight. Daniel is
presently a full time student majoring in computer science and a
worship leader at Bethel Church in Franklin Mills, PA. He also
ministers in churches and coffee houses through his music,
"Reverential". David is an Associate Pastor in Newfane, NewYork, at
the Grace Bible Church.
Fran was reared in a Christian home. Her dad, the late Harry S.
Sink, Jr., was the founder and Pastor of Calvary Bible Church in
Deptford, New Jersey. One Sunday evening, through her dad's
preaching, she realized that she was a sinner and asked Jesus
Christ to be her Savior. She was baptized in her early teen years.
She committed her own will fully to Jesus Christ at a Young Adult
retreat.
She graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University with a degree
in Bible and an emphasis in Christian Education. She did graduate
work at Rowan College.
She began her teaching career in the public schools (New Jersey and
Texas) and eventually taught in Christian schools (New York,
California and New Jersey).
Following four years at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dick and Fran
ministered in two churches prior to coming to GraceWay, one
being in New York and one in California.
In 1988 Fran began working at Philadelphia Biblical University. She
eventually became a vice president, specifically providing direction
in the areas of Admissions, Financial Aid and Reception Services. She
retired in June 2001.
Fran now spends most of her time overseeing the music program at
GraceWay, assisting in the leadership of For Women Only,
directing Young Voices and helping her husband meet ministry needs.
Fran loves people and enjoys her Christian family at GraceWay!
Her many interests include sharing the Good News of Jesus with others,
having fun with family and friends, reading, decorating, and playing
the piano and the harp.
