Christmas Live!
Imagine yourself transported back 2000 years to the very first Christmas!
GraceWay Bible Church is planning to make that a reality in its very first
interactive journey for the community entitled Christmas Live!
Christmas Live! is a family-friendly, dramatic representation of creation and other biblically-recorded events leading up to and including the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thirty-minute guided walking tours will lead small groups through eleven interactive scenes designed to make the Bible come alive with the story of God's love. It is a wonderful opportunity for the entire family to take a break from the stress of the holiday and rediscover exactly why we are celebrating.
Over 200 church family members are involved with the preparations necessary to make this vision a reality. Using original sets and costumes, live animals and other dramatic and musical effects, they are attempting to portray authentic backgrounds for the dramatic scenes. It is their hope that their guests will gain a personal sense of what it might have been like to witness these significant, historical events over 2000 years ago, to feel as though they are actually there. This is GraceWay's attempt to help the community understand and experience the miracle of Christmas.
Christmas Live! will be presented to the general public on the Friday and Sunday evenings of December 4, 6, 11 & 13 and guided walking tours will be led between the times of 5:30 and 8:30 pm. As the weather is typically cold and brisk, guests will also be invited to warm up inside with hot chocolate and other Christmas sweets. There will also be craft projects for the children and live music. Admission is free.
